New DVDs

As of January 1st, 2011 we are no longer offering the BookLetters service. To subscribe to featured books (by genre, format, etc.), bestsellers, and other library RSS feeds, please see the Books & More page.

Now available from Canton Public Library and delivered directly to you, the New DVDs BookLetter. You will learn what films have been added to the library's collection when the New DVDs monthly BookLetter is emailed to you. The selections are linked to the library's catalog making it easy to find out if the DVD is on the shelf or to request a hold on it.

The Canton Seniors Book Discussion group has recessed for the summer.  Book discussions will resume on  the fourth Wednesday of the month in September (9/23), at a new time: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.  All Canton seniors are welcome,  but registration is required.  To register call the Summit's Senior Adult Department at (734) 394-5485.  Check the Canton Public Library website for future book discussion titles and dates.

New Benefits Enrollment Site for Older Adults with Financial Problems

Adults 60 years and older and people with disabilities can contact the Legal Hotline for Seniors and get help over the phone to find out if there are any programs and services that they can apply for that will ease their financial situation (paying for prescriptions, utilities, home improvement services, etc). If you have any questions call 1-800-347-5297 to speak with a benefits counselor.
