Adventurer and author, Pam Flowers, returns to Michigan from her home in Alaska to share her latest adventure of dog sledding to the Magnetic North Pole. Pam will share two books that are the result of her travels:

Guilty?

The Michigan State Police Forensic Lab presents its own version of CSI-style crime solving techniques, only this is the real thing! Trooper Nicole Bock, Forensic Scientist Guy Nutter and Laboratory Commander F/Lt. Charles Morden will present this fascinating look in conjunction with our popular Everyone's Reading program. The forensics tie in very nicely with Scott Turow's Presumed Innocent, the original courtroom thriller. Join us in the Community Room on Tuesday, March 16, at 7:00PM for a thrilling evening.

Tchaikovsky Spectacular!

Lincoln in the Courtroom with Judge Ron Lowe

Join us as Judge Ron Lowe, 35th district court judge in Plymouth, shares his characterization of Abraham Lincoln as a courtroom lawyer. We can compare Lincoln's courtroom to our modern day courtrooms as portrayed in Scott Turow's "Presumed Innocent", the Everyone's Reading selection and original courtroom thriller.

Everyone's Reading 2010

Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow is the 2010 Everyone's Reading selection. This novel defined the legal thriller genre and has an infamous surprise ending that most of us don't see coming. Everyone's Reading promotes community dialogue through the shared experience of reading the same book. Pick up a copy of Presumed Innocent at the Canton Public Library and join the discussion.

Learn About Yoga

Join Canton resident Sharon Brand and learn about the benefits of Yoga. Sharon has nine years experience teaching the flowing style of Hatha Yoga. We offer this program as a way to promote Canton's 100 Days of Health.

Friends, Authors & Others program

Phone registration is underway for Canton author, Charles Steele, to discuss his newest book, "Discovering God in Science." Did the Big Bang create the universe? An Online Treasure for Readers

Every Monday morning, my email contains a special book. The email book club sends out a few pages every day in email. By the end of the week, you have read two to three chapters of a new book. You can then decide whether you want to check it out at the library or purchase it. It's a great way to discover new authors and genres. There are twelve categories from which to choose - pick one or all of them, including fiction, audio, romance, teen, good news, thrillers, classics and more. Your only requirement is an email account. The next Monday, it starts all over again with new books. What a great idea!
