2015 Summer Movie Madness

Join us as we show fun movies throughout the summer.  You may bring your own pillows, snacks, and/or blankets to cozy up. Plus, we have air conditioning for those hot summer days :) Show times and films will be as follows...

  • Tuesday, July 7, 2:00PM - Penguins of Madagascar - Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private join forces with undercover organization The North Wind to stop the villainous Dr. Octavius Brine from destroying the world as we know it.   (rated PG)
  • Friday, July 24, 2:00PM - Big Hero 6 -  The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes. (rated PG
  • Thursday, August 13, 2:00PM - Home - Oh, an alien on the run from his own people, lands on Earth and makes friends with the adventurous Tip, who is on a quest of her own. (rated PG)
     

NHS Homework Help Ends May 21st

NHS students are here to provide 3rd-12th graders free homework help. If you're interested in getting tutored:

  • You must be in 3rd through 12th grade
  • If you're under 12, your parent must remain in the library
  • You must bring the assignment and any other needed materials

Days and Times

  • Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the East Wing
  • Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the East Wing
  • Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the East Wing

There will be no tutoring during school closures, library closures, and snow days.  Tutoring ends May 21st.

Mark Twain's Previously Unknown Writings

Mark TwainMark Twain, Father of American Literature, and author of famous works such as Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, has more to offer us readers. Scholars in California have recently discovered a series of writings written by Twain when he was a 29-years old journalist in San Francisco. Read more about this story in this article.
