We are very exited about a new resource available for families and teachers when our renovated children's library re-opens. This new item for checkout is called a Storytime Kit. In it patrons will find a picture book, a related puppet or plush , cd with songs, and a sheet of suggested fingerplays or action rhymes.  This is an excellent resource for families who would like to do their own mini storytime at home, or teachers of young children who need a quick resource for tomorrow's lesson. It is a great way for parents, grandparents and teachers to share some creative, valuable time with their kids.

Don't get too hungry when you read one of these yummy picture books featuring cake!

Ida always has her nose in a book and Alfonso is unable to get her attention until he bakes a very special apple cake for her. Includes cake recipe.

Beverly runs into a problem while making the "caramel candy castle cake" for Oliver's party, but her creativity and her mother's encouragement save the day.
