Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytimes feature longer books, flannel board and rhymes designed for children ages 3 1/2 - 5. Parents may attend, if needed, to help transition their child to this program. All parents must remain in the lobby area or in the children's department. Storytimes will be held in the Community Room from 2:00 - 2:30 pm starting Friday, April 20 through Friday, May 25. There is no Monday morning preschool storytime during our staff renovation. Today the American Library Association announces its Youth Book & Media Awards, including the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award. Many of us recognize Dr. Seuss as an author who created engaging stories for beginning readers, and this award celebrates books that continue and improve on that tradition today. If you need a fun suggestion for a beginning reader, this list has some great ideas. For more information about this award and its recipients, check the ALA website.
