2012 Connect Your Summer Final Party!

August 11 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. To thank you for taking part in the Connect Your Summer reading program, we are throwing a huge bash! Be present for prize announcements, eat a snow cone, make some art and much more, such as:

Calling All Babies — June

Calling All Babies! If you are two years old or younger, join us Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 10:00-10:30 AM, as we explore Ducks and Water. We'll have fun learning about ducks and getting to play a bit, too. Moms, be sure to register your little one beginning on June 14. We look forward to seeing you there!

Baseball! Monday Movie Madness

Join us on Monday, July 16, for an all day, baseball family movie extravaganza starting at 10:00 AM with a film for our youngest patrons and gradually getting more sophisticated, until the 6:30 PM showing of Moneyball.

ABC Activity Time

ABC Activity Time will run until June 9th. This is an informal session where parents, caregivers, children and babies meet together in a relaxed environment. This drop-in playtime includes sensory activities, puzzles, and matching games for children ages birth to 5, with caregiver. No registration required.

Family Storytime

Family Storytime will run until June 9th. These storytimes are designed for children ages 5 and under with a caregiver. Storytimes are held in the Community Room and do not require registration. Saturday sessions are in the Purple Room.

April 30-June 9

  • Mondays 10:00-10:30 AM and 1:00-1:30 PM
  • Tuesdays 7:00-7:30 PM
  • Wednesdays 10:00-10:30 AM and 7:00-7:30 AM

  • On June 7th the Family Storytime/ABC Activity Time session will be in collaboration with Starfish Family Services Program for parents and caregivers titled Word Play: Rhymes and Other Pre-Reading Activities.

Child ID Event

Western and Southern Financial will provide a free Child ID event. All children will be fingerprinted and photographed to create a "Protect Your Child" booklet for your own personal records. This event takes place on June 19 from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Starfish Family Services: Word Play - Rhymes and Reading Acitivities

Join the Starfish Family Services on Thursday, June 7 from 9:45-11:30 AM as they show how to make nursery rhymes interactive and engaging all the while stressing the importance of phonological awareness in preschoolers.  This program is developed for parents, day care providers, and family caregivers and will take place in conjunction with our Thursday morning Family Storytime/ABC Activity time.  Free childcare is offered during this program by Starfish's licensed day care providers.

Baby Storytime begins May 1. Designed for babies up to age 18 months with a caregiver, this interactive storytime features simple stories, songs, and fingerplays.
